BELLEVILLE - Marquette Catholic's girls overpowered Belleville Althoff Catholic in girls softball on Thursday afternoon, April 9, 2026, with a 13-1 triumph at Belleville.

Marquette scored three runs in the first, four in the second, three in the third, and three runs in the fourth inning to post the 13-1 triumph.

Nylah McDonald powered the Explorers' offensive attack with three hits and three RBI. Bella Johnson and Jayla Dickson each had two hits for the Explorers. Johnson pitched five innings in the win for Marquette Catholic.

Allie Weiner, Sophie Lamere, Lucy LaFlore, and Olivia Corn all posted hits for Marquette Catholic.

Catherine Gross and Brooklynn Hebel had hits for Althoff Catholic.

Marquette Catholic 3-6 overall and 2-1 in the conference, hosts Southwestern at 10 a.m. on Saturday and plays at Calhoun on April 17.
