COLLINSVILLE — In a tightly contested game marked by nine lead changes, Triad edged out Collinsville 52-46 at the Collinsville Holiday Classic on Sunday.

Collinsville took an early 13-10 lead after the first quarter, although Triad held its largest advantage of the game at 7 points with just under two minutes remaining. The second quarter saw Collinsville maintain a slim 20-19 lead at halftime, shooting 7 of 17 from the field compared to Triad’s 5 of 21.
Triad gained momentum in the third quarter, outscoring Collinsville to take a 42-36 lead heading into the final period. The visiting team started the fourth quarter strong, extending their lead to 11 points with 6:43 remaining. Collinsville responded by narrowing the gap, but both teams scored 10 points in the final quarter.
Lucas Thompson led Triad with 22 points, while Noah Keller added 17. For Collinsville, CaMauri Mayes scored 13 points, and Jace Wilkinson contributed 11.
With the victory, Triad secured at least a fourth-place finish in the tournament, surpassing last year’s fifth-place result at the Collinsville Holiday Classic.
