JERSEYVILLE - Athletes from the Jersey Community High School Special Olympics track and field team competed at the state meet recently, with several students earning top-three finishes on June 12-14, 2026, at the Illinois State University (ISU) campus in Normal, IL.

The Jersey Community School District said the team “had an incredible experience and put on a fantastic performance” at the meet.

Among the medalists, Carly Stelbrink placed first in softball throw.

Natalie Steiner finished second in the 100 meters and third in the softball throw for Jersey.

Wyatt Perry placed second in the softball throw.

The Jersey Diistrict also thanked the community for “the wonderful sendoff” and recognized coaches Rachel Cox, Kim Mitchell, and Maddie Brown “for providing such a great experience for these students.”

“We are so proud of you all,” the district said.
