The Warriors led from start to finish in winning their season opener over the Lions to start the group stage of the tournament.

Granite is coming off a 9-20 campaign in 2024-25, and looks to be one of the most improved teams in the area this season. The roster has a good amount of junior and senior veterans, along with two sophomores and two freshmen, and will be much improved.

The Lions are now 1-1, while the Warriors start off their season 1-0, and next play Marquette Catholic on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 26, 2025, and will complete tournament play on Saturday. Granite has its home opener on Dec. 2 against O'Fallon, then hosts Metro-East Lutheran on Dec. 4, both games starting at 7:30 p.m., then plays Union, Mo. in the Norm Stewart Shootout at Mizzou Arena in Columbia on Dec. 5 at 2 p.m.
