ROXANA — Belleville Altoff secured a 67-52 victory over Carbondale in the opening game of the day at the Roxana Hoopsgiving basketball tournament on Wednesday.

Althoff established an early advantage, leading 19-4 after the first quarter and extending their lead to 34-18 by halftime.

Carbondale mounted a comeback effort in the third quarter, narrowing the gap to 49-36 entering the final period.
However, Altoff maintained control in the fourth quarter, outscoring Carbondale 18-16 to seal the win.
Luke Smith led Belleville Altoff with 20 points, while Kyle Johnson contributed 17 points.
Carbondale's top scorer was Jaxon Marlow-Evans with 23 points.
