
CARLINVILLE — Marquette Catholic's girls basketball team defeated Carlinville 45-35 in a girls basketball game Tuesday night, Nov. 25, 2025, led by Allie Weiner’s 23 points and Laila Davie’s 14 points.

The game was competitive early, with both teams scoring 11 points in the first quarter. Marquette pulled ahead in the second quarter to take a 24-17 halftime lead.
Marquette led 38-27 at the end of three quarters.
Marquette extended its advantage in the second half, finishing with a 10-point victory.
Claire Strickland contributed four points for Marquette. For Carlinville, Ruthie Reels scored 10 points and Sylvia Gibbs added nine. Kaitlyn Reels and Addy Jines each chipped in four points.
Ruthie Reels Leads Carlinville Scorers Against Plains
Earlier in the week, Carlinville suffered a 61-21 loss to Plains. Anna Weber led Plains with 18 points, while Bailey Leach added 14. Ruthie Reels was the top scorer for Carlinville with eight points, and Blakely Swan added four. The game saw Plains build a steady lead, outscoring Carlinville in each quarter to secure the win.
