The visiting Eagles, from Bethalto, improved to 4-4, while the Oilers fell to 0-8.
Civic Memorial led 14-0 after the first quarter and added 23 points in the second, taking a 37-0 halftime lead. The Eagles scored 10 more points in the third quarter to extend their lead to 47-0. East Alton-Wood River scored all 18 of its points in the fourth quarter, while Civic Memorial added seven.

CM's Luke Clouser completed 10 of 15 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns. East Alton-Wood River's Emerson Ruot completed 6 of 12 passes for 51 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Tavis Brown rushed for 169 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. Jake Truetzschler gained 68 yards and scored a touchdown on three carries for the Eagles.
CM's Grady Farrell had five receptions for 101 yards and two touchdowns. The Oilers Trenton Homer caught five passes for 41 yards and a touchdown.
Civic Memorial, 4-4 overall, will travel to Taylorville for a nonleague game Friday, Oct. 16. The Tornadoes are 5-3 following a 28-10 league loss to Mt. Zion.
East Alton-Wood River, 0-8 overall, will visit Dupo for a nonleague game the same day. The Tigers are 2-6 after a 54-0 league loss to Sparta/Steeleville.
