Burroughs was a key member of the Edwardsville program during her high school career and played an important role in goal over the past two seasons. She logged more than 1,000 minutes in each of those years, recording 76 saves in 2025 and 64 saves this past season.
A team captain, Burroughs brought what Edwardsville described as confidence and stability to the field through her presence in goal.
“Known for her quick reflexes, strong hands, and ability to organize from the back, Genny provides both physical and vocal leadership for her team,” Edwardsville Athletic Director Amy Boscolo said. “Her technical ability with her feet also allows her to contribute to the attack, making her a well-rounded goalkeeper.”
