Thrillville handed the River Dragons their first loss of the four straight home games, with Alton set to face the Thrillbillies again in the second game of the series.
Mac Floyd provided one of the River Dragons’ biggest offensive moments, hitting a two-run home run in the fourth inning. Brandon Gour drove in three runs despite not recording a hit, while Jake Ottensmeier reached base four times on four walks.
Landon Harwell added a triple, his first extra-base hit of the season. James Linzmeyer had a multihit game and also drew a walk and scored a run. Griffin Kelly also had a hit.

Gates open at 5:45 p.m. on Friday for the Thrillville game. The first 200 guests 21 and over receive a pint glass courtesy of Riverbend Axe and Games.

At 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, the River Dragons host the Cape Catfish, and at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2026, they host the Danville Dans.
The River Dragons close their season at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, against the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes at home.
