The Legionnaires play in a Fourth of July weekend tournament in Steeleville, with games Friday at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. against opponents yet to be determined. Post 126 then plays at home at Lloyd Hopkins Field in Gordon Moore Park next Monday against Jerseyville Post 492 at 8 p.m., goes to Trenton Post 778 to meet the Gators July 7 at 5:30 p.m., and concludes the regular season against Glen Carbon Post 439 July 8 at 6 p.m.

In Tuesday's game, it was all Aviston, as the Express scored twice in the first, once in the second, five times in the third, and twice more in the fourth to take the 10-0 win, the game ending with the 10-run rule in effect.

While holding Alton hitless, Wieter did not allow a run in the game, walking two and fanning six. Wieter only needed 60 pitches to throw his no-hitter. In the meantime, Tate Powell started on the mound for Alton and was charged with the loss, going two innings and allowing seven unearned runs on only two hits, walking four and striking out one. Carter Watson pitched the final two innings, and gave up three earned runs on four hits, walking two and fanning none.

Wieter was also fantastic at the plate with two hits, both doubles, and three RBIs. Teammate Conlan Haar had a triple and an RBI, and another teammate, Clayton Gaetti, had two RBIs in the contest.
