
BELLEVILLE — St. Clair County has announced the postponement of its Community Donation Drive supporting deployed Airmen from Scott Air Force Base. Originally scheduled for Thursday, June 11, the event will now take place on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Hosted in partnership with local military supporters, the donation drive aims to collect comfort items and care package essentials to boost morale for Airmen serving overseas. Community members are encouraged to continue gathering items and plan to participate on the new July date.
The drive will still be held at the St. Clair County Courthouse (Circle Drive), 10 Public Square in Belleville, where free hot dogs and chips will be available while supplies last.
“We greatly appreciate the community’s enthusiasm and continued support for our deployed Airmen,” said Kimberly Huth, St. Clair County Director of Military Affairs. “While the event has been rescheduled, our commitment to supporting these service members remains unchanged. We look forward to bringing the community together on July 9 to show our appreciation for their service and sacrifice.”
Requested donation items will remain the same and include: (Please bring only items listed below)
- Gift cards
- Handwritten letters and encouraging drawings
- Energy drink powder packets
- Energy gum
- Small puzzle books, crosswords and Sudoku books
- Trail mix (individual packages)
- Pop-Tarts
- Sanitary napkins or tampons
- Baby wipes
- Ponytail holders (rubber bands)
- Athletic socks (various sizes)
- Shoe inserts (various sizes)
