ALTON - Marquette Catholic High School said Ella Walters and Heidi Kahl recently performed at the Ken Page High School Music Awards at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis.
Marquette Catholic was also represented by Performing Arts Director Madison Foreman, who was among five nominees for "Best Director."

Walters and Kahl performed at the awards event, which recognizes outstanding achievement in high school musical theatre in the St. Louis region.
The Ken Page Awards are presented in partnership with the Fabulous Fox Theatre and The Muny, with more than 50 area schools participating, according to the information provided.
Kenneth Page was a widely acknowledged Broadway star and cabaret singer who originated the role of Old Deuteronomy in the original Broadway production of Cats. He also played the Lion in The Wiz and created the role of Ken in Ain't Misbehavin', winning a Drama Desk Award for his performance. He died in 2024.
