FLORISSANT, MO.In recognition of Women Veterans Recognition Day, a transformative one-day gathering will bring women veterans together for reflection, healing, and community at the Pallottine Retreat & Conference Center.

The “Women Veterans: Resilience Reimagined 1-Day Retreat,” taking place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, is designed to honor and amplify the voices, service, and leadership of women who have served in the past and those who are currently serving.

For far too long, women veterans have carried the weight of service, leadership, caregiving, transition, grief, and survival — often in silence. This retreat creates space for those experiences to be acknowledged, shared, and uplifted.

This experience is curated by Esmeralda Aharon, M.A., retired U.S. Air Force veteran and Co-Founder of Latinas Rising, who, alongside Co-Founder Gabriela Ramirez-Arellano, leads work centered on amplifying women’s voices through storytelling, leadership, and community.

This retreat features speakers and contributors whose voices are part of this broader movement, including Veronica Soria, Eileen Wolfington, Rev. Alexis King, and Jacqueline Duty, who served as the writing coach supporting authors in bringing their stories to life. Becca Meredith, Enlightened Pelvic Health, also joins this experience, contributing her expertise in support of participants' well-being and restoration.

Through her work with the international bestselling anthologies Calladitas Rising and Amigas Rising, Aharon has helped create platforms where women, including women veterans, have brought their lived experiences to the forefront. These anthologies reflect a powerful collective truth: voices once silenced are now rising together.

The stories shared by the authors represented in this retreat of service, identity, resilience, and life beyond the uniform are not singular, but deeply interconnected. They speak to a community of women veterans whose experiences have long remained unseen and unheard, and who are now claiming space to be recognized and heard authentically.

For generations, women veterans have carried extraordinary stories of service, sacrifice, and survival, often in silence. Through this retreat and the voices lifted in Calladitas Rising and Amigas Rising, we are creating space for those stories to be spoken, witnessed, and honored--boldly and authentically.”

A Holistic Day of Reflection, Renewal, and Restoration
