
ALTON – Alton Main Street invites you to a fun event which spans 22 pet-friendly patios and businesses on Saturday, May 30th from Noon-8 p.m. Join us for the Pup Crawl - yes you read that correctly, it’s a pub crawl with dogs!

Tickets are on sale now at all participating locations, or you can get your ticket at the Alton Dog Park on the day of the event while supplies last. With your $10 ticket you will receive a bandana for your pet, a passport listing food & beverage specials and pet-friendly activities, all-day access to the Alton Dog Park, and a chance to win great prizes!
Check in will take place at the Alton Dog Park from Noon-5:00 p.m. The Alton Dog Park can be found within Russell Commons Park, located under the Clark Bridge; enter via Ridge Street and follow the signs. During the event you can pick up information about how to purchase an annual pass to the park.
If you’re after a traditional pub crawl experience, make your way to the following locations: The Old Bakery Beer Company is serving up chili dogs, corn dogs, dog slushes as well as offering custom merch! The Alton Marina is offering complimentary can koozies, dog treats, and drink specials. Bluff City Grill will be slinging $3 Yuengling & Yuengling Flight Pints, $6 Sangria, chicken burritos, and a hot honey mac and cheese special. At Brown Bag Bistro you can enjoy $5 pretzels, $15 domestic buckets, and a gift card giveaway for passport holders! Post Commons & Good News Brewing will have free pup cups for your pet and a free slice of pizza for you; plus enjoy $10 slice + pint combos for passport holders and a caricature artist from 3:00-7:00 to round out the fun. FLOCK Food Truck Park & Bar will have $1 off lemonades and a free pup cup with Byrdies purchase, plus you’ll find 5 extra pup-centric vendors there. At Danny’s Lounge, all craft beers and seltzers are on special and they will have complimentary dog treats as well. The Firehouse will have Yappin’ Chihuahua shots for $2, The Bulldog shots for $3, specialty drinks for $6 and free pup treats! And Bossanova will be featuring Pink Poodle and Bulldog martinis as well as Pizza Specials. Don’t forget to stop by Bubby & Sissy’s with your pooch to enjoy their gorgeous back patio while partaking in $4 love potions and house margaritas, $3 select Smirnoff ice and beers, plus treats for the pups. Make CatDaddy's Tavern a stop to see the renewed downtown fountains and grab $15 Beer Buckets, a free pup cup, and a $6 Puppy Chow Punch, and then stop by to have a smoke with the fellas at AP Cigar where your fuzzy friend will enjoy their own free doggie cigars (peanut butter and oats)!
If you’d like to join in the family-friendly fun, begin your day at the Alton Farmers’ & Artisans Market from 8am-Noon before checking in at the dog park. Then for a sweet treat, stop in Duke Bakery for a beverage, cookie, or dog treat bundle. They are also featuring 20% off all other purchases with a passport, gift basket giveaway, and a photo op with their mural. Germania Brew Haus will be offering free pup cups and you can also grab some caffeine for the humans to keep fueled for all the fun! Visit Elysian Gallery and Cafe in their brand new space at 419 E. Broadway - they are partnering with Hope Animal Rescues for a dog adoption event as well as offering a featured drink. Make your way to Persnickety by Jen Farley to get your photo taken with your doggo at their “Smooch your Pooch Booth.” It’s Raining Zen in Mineral Springs Mall is offering 20% off purchases (excluding previously marked down merch) and dog ice cream. Across the street, Mom Said No and Mississippi Hippie have all dog hoodies 20% off all day long! Moon Drops + Wellness is hosting a giveaway and will be handing out hand-crafted dog treats and CBD Seltzer samples. PAWS Pet Food Pantry (located inside St. Paul’s Episcopal Church) will have another photo op for you and your puppers and cool treats for humans and pooches alike. You and your puppy can get your meditation on at River Bend Yoga with a free Pup & You mini yoga classes, plus refreshments for humans and canines. Then wrap up your day with Jacoby Arts Center’s puppy photo booth with fun props at 208 State Street!
Prizes will be up for grabs, and participants will be placed into the drawing one time for every establishment on the passport where they’ve made a purchase of food, merchandise, alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. Simply drop your passport in the collection bucket at any participating establishment any time before 8:00 p.m. after you have visited all of the stops you’d like to see.
Participants are encouraged to take photos along the way and share them on social media with the hashtag #AltonPupCrawl to help Alton Main Street continue to promote all of the pet-friendly establishments that Alton has to offer. Pet-themed charities and vendors will have booths set up at many of the participating businesses so keep an eye out!
