The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026. The route runs up College Avenue and through Upper Alton.
RiverBender’s CJ Nasello will host “Our Daily Show!” that morning from the parade route, showcasing the people who have made the parade so impressive since its inception in 1868. With over 70 entries in the parade, including over 100 vehicles, it’s sure to be another fun day for families to remember.
New this year, the parade will feature a flyover from a B-25 plane at 10:30 a.m. This is provided through the Commemorative Air Force out of their base in St. Charles, Missouri. Organizers can’t wait to share this experience with the community.
They thanked the local mayors, police departments, fire departments, and other organizations who will participate. This year’s marshal, Sam Roberts, is respected throughout Alton for his contributions to the community as president of Roberts Motors, Inc. Roberts is also a Marine veteran.
