Coming to the Madison County Fairgrounds at 2025 Park Hill Drive in Highland, the family-fun circus festivities are set for Thursday, May 28, 2026, starting at 7 p.m.

General Manager Arline Carden said The circus is bringing its “all-new” show offerings for 2026, including a brand-new ringmaster, Rulito Videla.

Carden said Videla’s act combines the circus staples of ringmaster and clown for a comedic act that marks “a different vibe” from your typical ringmaster. Joining Videla will be “Little Billy,” his talented partner from Mongolia who Carden says is small in size but is one of the circus’s “biggest assets.”

Circus-goers can also expect to see talented “Gauchos from Argentina,” a new act which Carden said combines Argentinian folklore with suspended-air tricks and more, which are sure to captivate the audience. In addition to Globe Riders on motorcycles and a mind-blowing magician, Carden said one of the night’s most “nerve-wracking” acts involves the high-wire walkers.

“The high walkers are actually really good,” Carden said. “They are defying gravity – at more than 30 feet, high above the ground, they’re doing tricks … seeing something so high above, it’s nerve-wracking.”

Also featured this year are family-favorite animal acts, including zebras, horses, and bison. Multiple pre-show activities will also be available starting at 6 p.m., from face painting to camel, pony and train rides and more. From the acts to the activities, Carden said the Circus Spectacular offers something for everyone.

“If you come, no matter if you’re a grandfather or a child, you are going to enjoy the show,” Carden said.

The Carden Circus Spectacular is sure to offer attendees a dazzling show – but for Carden, the event underscores an ongoing dedication to keeping the family-fun circus tradition alive.

“We always try to put on a good show for everybody, because we know circuses are one of the last family-fun things to come together, so we try to keep the tradition,” Carden said.
