Jordan S. King, 32, of Roxana, was charged on May 11, 2026 with 11 counts of child sexual abuse material, each Class 2 felonies.
From March 1 to May 7, 2026, King allegedly knowingly possessed several video files depicting child pornography and adults sexually abusing minors. According to charging documents, most of the video files involved victims under the age of 13, with at least two involving toddlers.
A petition to deny King’s pretrial release from custody was filed by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office. According to the petition, the Roxana Police Department started investigating after receiving a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The cybertip alleged that an individual was saving and accessing files containing CSAM through their DropBox account. A search warrant was then executed at his residence on May 7, 2026, where authorities seized his electronic devices.
The petition states he later made a series of admissions during a police interview, including that the DropBox account in question was his and that he “liked content mainly containing 14 to 15-year-olds.” He also reportedly described one of the video files containing CSAM which matched a video file contained in the DropBox account.
The state’s petition was granted, with a Detention Order stating the 11 counts filed in this case represent a small fraction of the total amount of CSAM allegedly found in King’s possession.
“Defendant was found to be in possession of over 3,000 electronic images and at least 250 electronic videos containing child sex abuse material,” the Detention Order states.
King was reportedly identified as the DropBox account holder based on his IP address and subscriber information, including his email address and username, which the Detention Order states “are directly reflective of his name.”
“All of this occurred in the security of defendant’s home, and by way of electronic means,” the Detention Order states. “The court finds no condition exist to mitigate the vile and depraved threat this defendant poses to children in this community.”
The Roxana Police Department presented the case against King, who currently remains in custody at the Madison County Jail.
All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
