GODFREY - Resurrection Lutheran Church will host their annual spring flea market this weekend.

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, community members can stop by Resurrection Lutheran Church at 1211 W. Homer Adams Parkway in Godfrey for the market. You can expect tools, antiques, clothing, toys and plenty more items. Dan Garner, one of the organizers, is looking forward to sharing the church’s work with those who stop by.
“We try to have something at least quarterly going on at the church,” Garner said. “And, as all churches are, everybody’s welcome.”
There are nearly 40 vendors scheduled to be at the market. Set-up will begin for vendors at 7 a.m.
Vendors can pay $20 for a space or $35 for two spaces. You can contact Garner at 618-792-1777 for more information about being added as a vendor.
The flea market is sponsored by the church’s Men’s Club. This group meets monthly and is open to all male members of the church. The men regularly host events and enjoy meals together to promote fellowship.
They also donate to people in need. Last year after the May tornado in St. Louis, the Men’s Club donated and transported 7,000 pounds of water to victims. They’ve also donated $2,000 to a church that was affected by the storm, and they seek out other groups that needed help following natural disasters.
“We always look for a disaster and send money or our goods there,” Garner said.
Garner and the rest of the Men’s Group hope the spring flea market brings the community together and gives people an opportunity to support the church.
He noted that the church has a community garden and the produce is donated to Crisis Food Center, and they regularly sponsor trivia nights, free concerts, and other events to foster faith and fellowship. The spring flea market is another way for them to get involved with the community.
