
EDWARDSVILLE – A Cottage Hills man and Wood River woman accused in separate incidents of battery in public places around Edwardsville face charges in two felony cases.

Dallas E. Zimmerman, 36, of Cottage Hills, was charged on April 23, 2026 with two Class 3 felony counts of aggravated battery and a Class 4 felony count of criminal damage to property.
Zimmerman allegedly knowingly punched and kicked one victim about the body and spit in another victim’s face while both victims were at 228 North Main Street in Edwardsville on March 27, 2026. He is additionally accused of causing over $500 worth of damage to the second victim’s cell phone.
Rosalee L. Perigen, 35, of Wood River, was also charged with a Class 3 felony count of aggravated battery in a separate case filed the same day.
Perigen is accused of striking a victim about the head and face while at the AMC Theater located at 6633 Center Grove Road in Edwardsville on Feb. 27, 2026.
The Edwardsville Police Department presented both cases against Zimmerman and Perigen, both of whom were ordered released from custody pending trial.
All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
