FREEBURG — Marquette Catholic broke open a scoreless match with four second-half goals to beat Freeburg 4-0 on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Freeburg, earning its sixth win of the season.

The game was tied 0-0 at halftime before Marquette found its breakthrough after the break.

Riley Jacobs started the scoring on a direct penalty kick after Alex Stephan was fouled just outside the 18. Izzi Hough made it 2-0 on a through pass from Alivia Noss.

Stephan later scored unassisted after intercepting a Freeburg pass and beating the goalie on a breakaway for a 3-0 lead. Noss completed the scoring with a goal off a pass at the top of the box from Summer Redd.

Marquette Catholic (6-4-2) is scheduled to play rival Alton High at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2026, at Public School Stadium.
