FREEBURG - Marquette Catholic’s Alex Stephan scored three goals to lead the Explorers to a 5-0 win over Freeburg on Wednesday night, March 18, 2026, in the Metro Cup Tournament at Freeburg.
Stephan’s three goals came with assists from Izzi Hough, who finished with four assists. Summer Redd added two goals for Marquette Catholic, and Jessica Eales recorded the shutout in goal.

Marquette Catholic opened the scoring with a Stephan goal assisted by Hough, then added two more Stephan goals, both assisted by Hough. Redd scored next on an assist from Hough, and Redd’s second goal was assisted by Stephan.
Marquette Catholic is scheduled to play again at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Metro Cup against Marion at Belleville West.
