The announcement was made Thursday morning, March 5, 2026. Six Flags said operations are expected to transition to EPR Properties after the 2026 season, with EPR partnering with Enchanted Parks for the six U.S. parks and La Ronde Operations, Inc. for Six Flags La Ronde in Montreal, according to the company.

The parks listed in the sale are Six Flags St. Louis; Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri; Michigan’s Adventure in Muskegon, Michigan; Valleyfair in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston in Galveston, Texas; Six Flags La Ronde in Montreal, Quebec; and Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury, New York.

Six Flags made the following statements about the change: "Guests can look forward to enjoying their visits as they always have throughout the 2026 season. This transition is not expected to affect the guest experience in any significant way. The parks will maintain their regular operating schedules, and all season passes sold will continue to be honored through the 2026 season — including multi-park pass privileges at other Six Flags locations.

"Admission will continue to be honored for the full 2026 season based on date of pass purchase. Our goal is to ensure a smooth, seamless experience so guests can continue making great memories at the parks they love.

“We are confident in the future of these parks under the care of EPR and its operating partners, who have strong experience managing parks of this scale,” Six Flags said in the announcement. “At the same time, this decision allows Six Flags to invest more deeply in the parks with the greatest opportunity for growth and innovation.”

Six Flags said all seven parks will continue normal operations through the 2026 season and that 2026 season passes and active memberships will be honored throughout 2026, including multi-park access.

The company also said EPR retains the right to use the Six Flags brand through the end of 2026.

Applications for “Enchanted Parks St. Louis” were filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, according to the provided information.

Six Flags St. Louis originally opened in 1971 as Six Flags over Mid-America.

The park is scheduled to open for its 55th season on April 26, 2026.
