For his accomplishments, Chase Jansen is a Student of the Month for Father McGivney Catholic High School.

Jansen, a senior, has played basketball since his freshman year. He previously was also a part of the soccer team. It takes a lot of responsibility and dedication to balance sports with school, but Jansen makes this look effortless as he works hard in everything he does.

In his sophomore year, Jansen was chosen as a House Leader. He was recently selected to be the House Captain of Events/Games as a senior. These leadership positions speak to Jansen’s natural ability to speak up and advocate for his peers.

He was also inducted into the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service. Jansen volunteers at the local humane society and regularly helps out with school-wide initiatives like Cansgiving. He also tutors underclassmen. As an Illinois State Scholar, Jansen is one of the top students in his class.

When he’s not busy with academics, athletics, or extracurriculars, Jansen enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his friends. He has big plans for after high school, and his teachers and loved ones will be cheering him on just like they do when he’s on the basketball court.

“I'm looking currently to attend either Mizzou or Ole Miss and I’m still deciding on my major,” Jansen shared.

Congratulations to Chase for this recognition by Father McGivney Catholic High School!
