BELLEVILLE — The Granite City Warriors secured a decisive 71-35 victory over Madison at the Southern Illinois Shootout on Saturday.

Granite City established an early lead, holding a 17-9 advantage after the first quarter. The Warriors extended their dominance in the second quarter, entering halftime with a 44-18 lead.

Maintaining their momentum, Granite City led 63-29 after the third quarter. In the final period, with a running clock in effect, the Warriors outscored Madison 8-6 to close out the game.

Javier Cass led Granite City with 13 points, followed closely by Evan Brewer, who contributed 12 points.

Madison’s top performers included Dallas Gardner with 12 points and Sincere Collins with 9 points.
