Among the items approved was a site plan for the future Glen Carbon location of Heartland Dental to be built in Orchard Town Center.
Erika Heil, Director of Community Development, said the 4,200 square foot medical office building will occupy 0.99 acres in Outlot 5, which is near the current site of Olive Garden.
The site plan submitted by consulting engineers Thouvenot, Wade & Moerchen, (TWM) Inc. shows the dental office’s parking lot will contain 29 parking spaces, including 27 standard spaces and two accessible parking spaces. Heil said the plan meets all village code requirements and recommended approval, which trustees gave unanimously.
Trustees also unanimously approved the final plat and site plan for New Hope Church, which will be built just off Illinois Route 159 near Kingsley Way.
Heil said the site plan consists of a 24,000 square foot church building with parking lot access via an existing private driveway. The site plan from TWM calls for a total of 212 standard parking spaces and 11 accessible parking spaces at the site.
The site plan shows the church building and parking lot on one lot, with an existing single family residence located on a neighboring lot. Heil said that churches are a permitted use of the property under its current single family zoning classification and that both buildings meet the relevant zoning requirements.
