TROY - Triad High School’s basketball team secured a crushing 75-39 boys basketball victory over visiting Taylorville on Tuesday night, Jan. 6, 2026, at Rich Mason Gym, with seniors Nolan Keller and Tyler Thompson both surpassing the 1,000-point milestone in their careers.

The Knights maintained control throughout the game, led by Keller’s 24 points. Lucas Thompson contributed 19 points, while Tyler Thompson added 17 points to the team’s total.

The win improved Triad’s record to 10-5, while Taylorville fell to 5-8.

In a rare achievement for high school basketball, both Keller and Tyler Thompson reached 1,000 career points in the same game. The milestone marks a significant accomplishment for the two seniors as they continue to lead the Knights this season.

"Welcome to the 1,000-point club, Tyler Thompson and Nolan Keller! What an outstanding achievement for these two seniors!" the school district said in a statement.
