ALTON - Mac’s Downtown has officially introduced Olga’s products to their menu, and owner Rob Lenhardt can’t wait to share the food with the downtown community and beyond.

Starting on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, Mac’s customers can enjoy four Olga’s sandwiches, snackers, and curly fries from the Olga’s menu. Lenhardt predicts a few additional Olga’s products — including soups and spinach pies — will be available within the next two weeks. For the first month, every table will receive complimentary snackers.
“Some restaurants give away bread and butter when people sit down. We’re going to do a promotion where, when you come in, for the first month, you get a complimentary basket of snackers,” Lenhardt explained. “If it goes over as well as I think it’ll go over, we might continue to do that for the next few months.”
Previously located inside Alton Square Mall, Olga’s announced its closure and collaboration with Mac’s last month. While Olga’s will no longer have a location at the mall, Riverbend residents can still enjoy fan-favorite dishes at Mac’s, including the Original Olga, the Ham and Cheese Olga and more.
Existing Olga’s gift cards will be honored at Mac’s. Lenhardt added that a few Olga’s employees have joined the Mac’s team, including the mall location’s general manager, who is “fantastic” and will spearhead operations at Mac’s.
He noted that Olga’s primarily welcomed a lunch crowd, and he hopes the introduction of Olga’s products at Mac’s will increase their lunch clientele. He encourages customers who come for Olga’s products to enjoy the food and consider trying other items on the Mac’s menu.
“The product will be the same. The food quality will be the same. We try to make the service as best as possible,” he said. “But you go there for an Olga and you might get an appetizer of chicken wings. Or somebody that’s with the party might get an Olga, but somebody else might get a steak. For people that have never been there before, Olga’s might be a draw for them at first, but they might explore the menu a little bit more their second or third time there.”
He added that downtown Alton is “more neon lights and fast-paced” than the mall, so it might be an exciting new adventure for Olga’s customers who previously went to the mall to eat. He hopes the introduction of Olga’s products at Mac’s proves to be a delicious and enjoyable experience for all.
“I think it’ll be a lot of new faces and a lot of new customers for downtown Alton,” he added.
