
WESTMONT - The Edwardsville relay teams in the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay finished in eighth place overall. Scout Jackson won the B final, and was ninth overall in the 100-yard backstroke as the Tigers finished 11th in the team standings in the finals of the IHSA girls swimming state meet Saturday afternoon, Nov. 15, 2025, at the FHC Natatorium in Westmont.
Lincolnshire Adlai Stevenson won the state team championship with 236 points, edging out second-place St. Charles North, who had 227 points, with third-place going to Aurora Rosary Catholic at 211 points. In fourth place was Winnetka New Trier at 185 points, and rounding out the top five was Hinsdale Central at 141 points. Edwardsville was 11th with 66.5 points, the Panthers were 21st with 33 points, and Mascoutah tied for 39th with Lisle Benet Academy Catholic with six points each.

In the 200-yard medley relay, the Tigers' team of Jackson, Greta Deist, Reilly Curry, and Grace Oertle finished eighth with a time of 1:45.25. In the B final of the 50-yard freestyle, Oertle tied with Samantha Szejner of Elmhurst York for third place, 11th overall, at 23.65 seconds each, the two swimmers sharing the points.
In the 100-yard butterfly, Mascoutah's Sarah Dixon finished third in the B final, and 11th overall, with a time of 56.61 seconds, while in the 200-yard freestyle relay, the Edwardsville team of Jackson, Deist, Laine Curry, and Oertle wound up finishing in eighth at 1:35.99. Jackson won the B final, placing ninth overall, in the 100-yard backstroke, having a time of 55.69 seconds, while in the 400-yard freestyle relay B final, the Tigers' team of Laine Curry, Jackson, Reilly Curry, and Oertle finished in fifth, 13th overall, at 3:31.44.
