al Apple Festival on Saturday\, October 3\, 2026\, from 9 a.m. &ndash\
; 5 p.m.\n\nThis annual festival features something for everyone to en
joy\, including live music beginning at 9:30 a.m.\, over 30 crafters a
nd vendors\, historical tours\, activities for kids\, and more!\n\nHis
torical Tours of the Grounds\n\nHistorical tours of Cheney Mansion\, L
one Star School\, Union Forest Church\, the Log Cabins\, and the Museu
m will be held throughout the day\, with tickets being sold until 3 p.
m. and all tours finishing by 4:30 p.m. Tour tickets will be sold for 
$5 per person. Children under 5 are admitted free of charge. All child
ren under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.\n\nLive Entertainment TB
A\n\nActivities for Kids\n\nFrom 10 a.m to 3 p.m.\, for $5 per child\,
kids can complete pioneer crafts and chores like churning butter\, ga
thering eggs\, shelling and grinding corn\, milking a cow\, etc.\, to 
earn &ldquo\;money\,&rdquo\; which can be used to buy candy at the Mer
cantile.\n\nFood & Drink\n\nThe Jersey County Historical Society will 
be serving fish\, chicken strips\, fries\, hot dogs\, soup\, walking t
acos\, ham and beans with cornbread\, lots of homemade pies and desser
