Please join St. Louis Classical Guitar for the final concert of the Guitar Masters Series 2025-26 season with French classical guitarist Gaëlle Solal on Saturday, April 18, at Salem United Methodist at 7:30pm. Gaëlle, "...an exceptional musical sensitivity," presents a program of guitar music from Spain, South America, France and more.
Solal will perform a vibrant and lyrical program, including works by Villa-Lobos and Roland Dyens, two champions of music for the guitar in the 20th century, alongside her own arrangements of Brazilian guitar music.
Classical guitarist but not only that ... Gaëlle Solal is a musical UFO that breaks conventions and creates enthusiasm wherever she plays. In 1998, she became the first female French musician to win one of the world’s leading classical guitar competitions – the City of Alessandria Competition. A committed and supportive professional, she campaigns for the presence and visibility of women in the guitar world.
