IMPACT’s Executive Director, Cathy Contarino, was the recipient of the Edward V. Roberts Excellence in Independent Living Award on Monday, April 27th at CCDI’s Annual Awards Luncheon.
This award was established in 1995 following the death of Ed Roberts, who is regarded as the father of the Independent Living Movement.
Individuals selected for this award are people with disabilities who have at least five years experience in the Independent Living/Disability Rights Movement, who are committed to the Independent Living philosophy, are involved in their community and have obtained advocacy results.
