GODFREY - The Village of Godfrey will once again offer the annual Great Godfrey Maze.

The maze will open on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, and stay open every weekend until the end of October. On Fridays, you can enjoy the maze from 6–10 p.m. The festivities will run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and 12–6 p.m. on Sundays. For Parks and Recreation Director Chris Logan, the experience encapsulates the department’s goal to provide family-friendly fun for people in Godfrey.
“It’s really nice to see all these folks come out and have a family-friendly, good time in Godfrey,” he said. “That’s what we’re trying to do, really help them increase their quality of life and have the best experience they can, especially while they’re in Godfrey.”
This year, the corn maze’s theme is based on the movie “Inside Out.” The rows of corn have been planted in the shape of several characters.
Maze admission for people ages 12 and up is $8. For kids ages 6–11, it costs $6. Children 5 and under are free.
There will be a “haunted” maze option starting on Oct. 2, 2026. The haunted maze includes jumpscares and creepy decorations. This haunted maze costs $10 for adults, $8 for kids ages 6–11, and is free for kids under age 5.
Logan encourages anyone who is “brave enough” to attempt the haunted maze to have fun. But for those who prefer a more relaxed time, you can also enjoy the cow train, jumping pillow, and wagon rides for $3 each. There will be several inflatables available all day on Saturdays and Sundays; it costs $15 for unlimited inflatable fun.
The corn crib is free for kids 11 and under to play in. There are also a few combo prices available, as well as various souvenir shirts and glow sticks. The concession stand will be open with treats and snacks.
Logan noted that the Great Godfrey Maze has been an annual tradition for several decades. Families enjoy coming every year. Though there is a wide variety of fall-themed activities around St. Louis, people love the nostalgia and simplicity of Godfrey’s tradition.
“It’s really special,” Logan said. “People still really like it, so we’re going to keep doing it as long as we can. “
He also expressed his appreciation for the staff at the Village of Godfrey, including the Board of Trustees and Mayor Mike McCormick, who support the fall festivities every year. Logan is thankful for the support.
“I do really appreciate the support from the mayor and the Board to continue doing things like this for the community because they ultimately make the decisions, and it's nice that they still support this stuff and want us to offer it,” he added. “Not every town does that. It’s nice.”
