EDWARDSVILLE - City officials in Edwardsville, Illinois, hosted the annual Business Forecast Breakfast on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, bringing together more than 220 people connected to the local business community at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Conference Center.
The event gave Mayor Art Risavy an opportunity to reflect on the past year and forecast the year ahead, with input from James Arnold, the city’s economic and community development director.

SIUE Chancellor Dr. James Minor also addressed attendees with insights on SIUE programs, accomplishments and community impact. An Edwardsville High School orchestra ensemble performed under the direction of Victoria Voumard, and Edwardsville CEO students attended.
During the annual breakfast, the city recognized three entities for community contributions over the past year.
Carrollton Bank was named Large Business of the Year for its commitment to the city and contributions to local causes, including a significant donation to Glen-Ed Pantry’s fundraising campaign.
Chava’s Mexican Restaurant - Edwardsville received Small Business of the Year honors for its years of service, support for fellow businesses and causes, and its use of social media to highlight city and local events.
Glen-Ed Pantry was recognized as Nonprofit of the Year for decades of service to people in need throughout Edwardsville School District #7 towns and for efforts to meet needs “with compassion and creativity.”
