ST. LOUIS COUNTY - St. Louis County police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that killed a 67-year-old man Tuesday night, Feb. 17, 2026, on Lemay Ferry Road in south St. Louis County.

Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department’s South County Precinct responded at 7:19 p.m. Feb. 18, 2026, to a call for service for a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in the 5200 block of Lemay Ferry Road. Police found an adult male with life-threatening injuries, and he was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle driver was traveling southbound on Lemay Ferry Road when the motorcycle struck a curb. The driver lost control and was ejected, police said.

The deceased was identified as Stephen Rausch, 67, of the 400 block of Rockview Circle in Arnold, Missouri.

The investigation is ongoing, and police said additional information will be disseminated as it becomes available.
