Six-foot-three junior Lane Eilerman poured in 17 points to lead Calhoun in a win over Payson on Wednesday night.HARDIN - Led by a 17-point outing by Lane Eilerman, the Calhoun Warriors blasted Payson 70-41 in a boys basketball home game on Wednesday night, Jan. 28, 2026. The win was the 15th for the Warriors, who have only three losses in the 2025-2026 season.

Calhoun outscored Payson 21-14 in the first quarter, 17-7 in the second period, and 28-15 in the third quarter. Payson outscored Calhoun 5-4 in the final period for the 70-41 end score.

The Warriors' Jack Zipprich also had another strong game with 12 points, Charlie Matthews had 10 points and Easton Wallendorf had 8 points. Calhoun's Will Lorton had 7 points, Blake Nolte and Rodney Johnson had 6 points, and Parker Baalman and Earl Elmore had 2 points each. Zipprich and Wallendorf had two three-pointers in the game.

Gooding led Payson with 11 points.

Calhoun returns to action on Jan. 29, against Astoria/VIT at home, and then hosts Carrollton on Friday night, Jan. 30, 2026.
