EDWARDSVILLE - Jersey Community Unit School District No. 100’s middle school wrestling team secured second place at the Jon Davis Edwardsville Middle School Tournament, held recently in Edwardsville.

Competing against 15 teams, Jersey Community Middle School (JCMS) wrestlers earned 10 medals for top-four finishes.

The tournament concluded with Collinsville taking first place, followed by Jersey in second, Edwardsville Lincoln in third, Hillsboro, Missouri, in fourth, and Edwardsville Liberty in fifth.

Jersey’s medalists included Grant Jones (90 pounds), Max Williams (103 pounds), Andrew Ray (110 pounds), Bennett Leslie (154 pounds), Caleb Olano (164 pounds), and Brody Olano (215 pounds), each finishing in second place. Wade Ball (118 pounds), Carter Scott (126 pounds), and Brody White (188 pounds) earned third-place finishes. Grayson Mangara (135 pounds) claimed the championship title in his weight class.

Head Coach Ron Linenfelser and his assistant coaches led the team through the tournament, marking a historic achievement for JCMS wrestling.
