Glenn Collins.BETHALTO — Civic Memorial's Glenn Collins is preparing for a standout track and field season in 2026 after a notable cross country campaign in 2025 with the Eagles. Collins has earned recognition as the Tom Lane State Farm Insurance Male Athlete of the Month following his consistent improvement throughout the cross country season.

Collins finished 121st at the IHSA Class 2A state meet with a personal record time of 15 minutes, 47.7 seconds for three miles. He posted times of 16:23.4 at the sectional meet and 16:26.9 at the regional. His season began with a time of 16:58.0 at the Civic Memorial Twilight Meet, showing steady progress over the course of the year.

“No one on our team finished the season stronger than Glenn Collins,” said Civic Memorial High School Boys Cross Country Coach Jake Peal. “Glenn PR’d the last three meets of the season, regional, sectional, before he posted a 15:47 time at the state meet. This spring, he will try to break our school record in the 800 meters.”

Collins’ trajectory in cross country sets high expectations for his upcoming track and field season, where he aims to continue his development and achieve new milestones.
