Sebastian is one of the main students coming off the bus and in the hallway each morning, encouraging fellow students to get to classes on time and to keep everyone's spirits up throughout the day. He is also works at the Redbird Store selling cookies and other food and drinks.
Sebastian has made his mark as a student ambassador for the Advisory Council at Alton High. He was nominated by his fellow students and represents the young adult class. Sebastian speaks up for what he thinks will be helpful for the student body in planning for certain events throughout the school year such as homecoming and prom.
Another school activity that Sebastian is proud to be a member of is the Anime Club. It is a group that has only been around for about three years, and they focus on after-school activities and they also fundraise for their group to purchase snacks and T-shirts for their group activities. There are currently 20-plus members of the group, and they meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Sebastian is currently a straight "A" student and has missed very few days throughout his Redbird career. Christie Rickman, one of Sebastian's teachers, said during a recent conversation that having Sebastian around "is like having another TA (Teachers Assistant) as he will give students pep talks and always encourages them."
In his spare time, Sebastian likes music, cooking (especially making meatballs) and is a very independent person. He also has three younger sisters and a younger brother. He also took it upon himself to shovel the driveway at his home during the recent November/December snowstorms.
Sebastian also shares his outgoing spirit and strong work ethic in working at Alton Memorial Hospital in helping out in the cafeteria, doing dishes, and also handling incoming inventory.
