ST. LOUIS COUNTY — Three 16-year-old males have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy in St. Louis County last month, authorities said.

On Oct. 31, 2025, a 16-year-old male suspect was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon. Two additional 16-year-old male suspects were arrested on Nov. 12, 2025, and charged with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, and first-degree assault. All three suspects were remanded to the custody of St. Louis County Family Court.

The victim, identified as 14-year-old Duwan Morgan of the 10200 block of Hobkirk Drive, was shot and killed on Oct. 8, 2025. According to the investigation, Morgan was inside his home when he was struck by a stray bullet during an exchange of gunfire among several individuals outside.

St. Louis County Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert and a 911 call reporting the shooting at approximately 6:10 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Morgan had sustained at least one gunshot wound and he died at the scene.

The investigation remains active. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the St. Louis County Police Bureau of Crimes Against Persons Detectives at 636-529-8210. Anonymous tips can be submitted to CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS (8477).

The issuance of charges is based solely upon probable cause and is not an indication of guilt. All subjects charged with criminal offenses are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
