CARROLLTON — Dr. Eric Cunningham of Carrollton will present a program about his mother, Eileen Cunningham, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025. The event, titled "Mom, More Than a Mother," will take place in the Fellowship Hall of the Carrollton United Methodist Church following a brief business meeting of the Greene County Historical Society.
Eileen Cunningham was known throughout Carrollton for her distinctive presence, often seen in bright, unmatched clothing or attending formal events with elegant attire.

She was recognized for her intelligence, curiosity, and vibrant personality. A compassionate nurse and dedicated mother, she also made significant contributions as an author and researcher of Greene County history. Additionally, she published nursing-related articles in medical journals.
Dr. Cunningham will highlight his mother’s energy, perseverance, unconditional love, and her talent as a singer. He described her as "someone comfortable in any setting, fully present, and genuine."
Prior to the program, a Table Talk luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2025.
