MARYVILLE — Timothy Vaughan, a 2022 graduate of Maryville Christian School, is currently serving in the U.S. Army’s 11th Airborne Division in Alaska, where he participates in airborne operations.

He is saluted on Veterans Day for his service to his country in the Army.

After completing his studies at Maryville Christian High School, Vaughan joined the military and now performs parachute jumps as part of his duties.

Reflecting on his time at Maryville Christian, Vaughan highlighted the lasting friendships he formed and the influential role of his teachers, particularly Mrs. Crow and Mr. Cheatham.

Maryville Christian School expressed pride in Vaughan’s service and offered prayers for his protection.

"We are so proud of you, Timothy," the school said. "We lift prayers of protection over you and give thanks for your courage and dedication in serving our country. Thank you for representing Lion Nation with strength, faith, and honor."
