TROY — The Troy Police Department is honoring veterans throughout November by wearing Veterans Day appreciation bracelets, the department announced.

The Troy Police Department said the initiative is intended to show support and gratitude to all who have served in the military.

Troy Police personnel may be seen wearing the bracelets during the month as a symbol of recognition for veterans’ service to the country. In addition, the department is offering a limited number of free bracelets to Troy residents.

These can be picked up directly from the Troy Police Department. The Troy Police Department is located at 116 East Market St. in Troy, IL.

The department’s gesture aims to acknowledge the contributions and sacrifices of veterans in the community.
